Prints and an Art Show...

Instead of shopping this Thanksgiving weekend, I spent some time focusing on how I can take my art to the next level in 2012! One of the things I did was went to a local printer to see how some of my paintings would look as professional art prints. I was very thrilled with the outcome and the cost. Both Hadiyah and Avery look really nice in a frame. See Avery above (and you can see my reflection too)!

Also, I have been invited to an Art Show that is scheduled to take place next weekend. In thinking through the best way to display my art in a venue that will have only table space, I came up with the idea to purchase a decorative easel (courtesy of Garden Ridge) and a block of wood (thank you Home Depot); put some nails in it and wa-la. I'm still debating on whether or not I should patin the wood... BUT Art Show - LCherise is on her way...

Functional Art

So it has been a while since I did a blog post.
But I'm definitely still painting (when I'm motivated)! My latest creations have been functional art. I adore the Earring Art displays and the Jewelry Art displays that I have created. You can see them at my Etsy store. www.lcherise.etsy.com

Why leave your earrings inside a jewelry box when you can display them as Art? While I think the "fad" of jewelry boxes is getting out of hand, with everyone making earring holders from old antique frames and wire mesh, the LCherise Earring Art display will be a lifelong piece an art for any wall.
